It’s “showtime” and everyone is counting on you to emcee a terrific presentation. A few thoughts as you walk to the front:

Be energetic, genuine, and SMILE!

Use the preferred name of recipient. For example, don’t address the recipient as “Kathy” if she prefers “Kathleen”.

Ask the recipient if they’d like to say a few words. If not, that’s ok too. If you have a shy employee, ask them in advance what they’d like to do for presentation - they may simply prefer a small group over coffee.

Have a greeting card signed by all employees in advance. Note: it should naturally be totally appropriate and non-offensive for all.

Bring that camera and have someone ready to act as the paparazzi!
